The Slide Sorter was developed to sort a wide range of items and has two user selectable speeds. These two speeds allow the sorter controls to match the product type being sorted, resulting in a smooth and accurate divert cycle. Designed for quiet, robust operation, the Slide Sorter offers moderate sorting capacity for complexly shaped items. The Slide Sorter is very energy efficient and uses power only when needed, resulting in low operating costs compared to other technologies.
Type A products are those that are stable and regular in shape, resulting in a sorting capacity of up to 6,000 parcels per hour for 500mm average-length items.
Type B products focuses on the automated sorting of a wide range of items that are more irregular in shape, which normally would be manually sorted. Typical throughputs for these more complex shapes are in the range of 2,000 to 2,500 pieces per hour based on an average length of 1 100 mm.
